Summary
The iShares Core MSCI EAFE ETF (IEFA) tracks the MSCI EAFE Investable Market Index. It invests in large-, mid-, and small-cap stocks in developed markets in Europe, Australia, and Far East. The index is weighted by market cap.
Investment Thesis
IEFA provides exposure to a large basket of companies in developed countries outside the U.S. and Canada. It has an excellent performance track record and comes highly rated, but its underlying assets remain reasonably priced. It’s expense ratio of only 0.08% cannot be beat in the EAFE ETF space. IEFA is also a commission-free ETF for Fidelity customers.
